Rule Book Disclaimer
The rules and regulations are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to be in compliance with these rules and regulations.
NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS.
These rules are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury of death to a participant, spectator, official or others.
The Race Director shall be empowered to permit minor deviations from any of the specifications or impose further restrictions that, in his opinion, do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements.
NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATIONS OF SPECIFICATIONS.
Interpretation of, or deviation from these rules is left to the discretion of the Officials. Their decision is final. It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure their car confirms to all rules and regulations at anytime while on the racing surface or anywhere on premises. To include practice, time trials competitive racing, and any other.
GENERAL INFORMATION
ALL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO INTERPRETATION OF THE TRACK OFFICIALS. EQUIPMENT THAT OFFICIALS CONSIDER EXOTIC OR NOT IN THE INTENT OF THE RULES WILL BE CONSIDERED ILLEGAL FOR COMPETITION.
1. Any 4-cylinder car with a maximum wheelbase of 103.5” (Call office with any questions of exemption for wheel base) and a complete stock Steel body, interior, frame and suspension. NO bracing anywhere except inside the drivers compartment. No rotary engine, turbo, all wheel drive or supercharged cars or 4 cylinder Ford Fairmont’s allowed!! All cars must have complete stock body, interior, frame and suspension. If it doesn’t say you can, you can’t!
2. Roll bars: REQUIRED. Either a single hoop rollover bar or a 2” OD pipe or equivalent steel upright, with 8” square steel mounting plates on each end. Mounted vertical from roof to floor pan, located behind the drivers seat. A second upright may be mounted in front of the front passenger seat. Roll bars and Uprights must be bolted with 1/2” bolts to the floor pan and roof.
3. Drivers door must be welded or chained shut. Must have drivers side door reinforcement; this must be a C channel 4” minimum width, NO ANGLE IRON OR BOX TUBING. Ends must be cut at angle NO SHARP EDGES. Dash bar required above steering wheel from side to side. A spreader bar must be installed behind drivers seat from side to side. 2” OD pipe or equivalent. Passenger door bar REQUIRED minimum 4” C channel.
4. Dashboard, Steering and Pedals must remain completely stock for make and model of car. All insulation under hood must be removed. Dashboard may be modified only as needed to facilitate spreader bar.
5. Stock carburetor or fuel injection for that make, model, and year. Engine will remain stock for make, model, and year as produced for that car.
6. Transmission for that make, model, and year.
7. Stock Exhaust system for that make and model. MUFFLERS MANDATORY.
8. Battery must be securely fastened and may be relocated to passenger floor in a battery box. Securely mounted to floor.
9. Stock unaltered rear end for that make, model, and year.
10. Tire rules issued at a later date.
10a. Suspension, steering, springs, and ride height must remain stock for make, model, and year. Camber on any tire is not to exceed 2 ½ degrees as measured by officials. All bent parts must replaced in order to meet this requirement.
11. Gas Tank:
a) If stock gas tank is ahead of rear axle it may remain in place. A fuel cell or plastic boat tank (6.6 gallon maximum) is RECOMMENDED. SUBJECT TO TECH
b) If stock gas tank is behind rear axle, it must be replaced with a fuel cell or plastic boat tank (6.6-gallon maximum). RECOMMENDED
c) Fuel cell/boat tanks must be covered, secured and located in trunk.
12. All glass (except front windshield) must be removed prior to arrival to the track. Screen is acceptable for windshield, Subject to Tech
13. Approved helmets and long sleeved garments required. A flame retardant drivers suit is highly recommended.
14. Seat belts are mandatory. Must be a minimum 5-point racing style harness.
15. Window Nets are required to be used on the driver’s door. It must be securely attached on the bottom and have positive fastener on the top which may be easily removed by the driver and or safety personnel.
16. It is encouraged to build fan recognition of drivers that cars be painted neatly and brightly.
17. Car numbers on doors MUST be at least 16” tall in an EASY TO SEE color. Roof numbers must be at least 22” in height. If we cannot read your numbers you will not be scored. B. A six-inch number Arial Italic font, white must be displayed on the upper right hand corner of the windshield
18. $750 Management claim in effect at all times. CLAIM DOES NOT INCLUDE FUEL CELLS OR SYSTEMS OR ANY SAFETY RELATED EQUIPMENT.
19. No two way radio communications between driver and/or pits/grandstands.
20. Line-ups will be determined by qualifying, one lap per car, or through practice times.
21. All cars must run a transponder. Transponders may be purchased or rented from Evergreen Speedway.
22. Spec. Bumpers may be run and must be purchased from approved source If spec bumpers are not used then stock bumper for make model and year of vehicle must be used on front and rear of vehicle. 3 (maximum) vertical support pieces evenly spaced
Mounting is optional within reason and subject to tech approval. End straps are encouraged to minimize hooking of other cars or getting hooked by other car’s bumpers. Additional frame reinforcement is not allowed.
GENERAL INFORMATION
We expect all participants to take pride in being part of our entertainment. Racing entertainment is what we sell to the public and we will not tolerate anyone or anything that detracts from our show. Cars in the opinion of the Officials, that lack in appearance or are deemed unsafe, will not be allowed to race until acceptable.
A. All car construction rules will be decided by NASCAR Tech Inspectors. Burden of proof on any concern will be the responsibility of the owner and driver.
B. ALL NASCAR CAR NUMBERS WILL BE ASSIGNED BY THE SPEEDWAY OFFICE (360) 805-6100 AND MUST BE RENEWED EVERY YEAR.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE INJURED IN AN ACCIDENT AT EVERGREEN SPEEDWAY ON SATURDAY NIGHT
1. Have the ambulance attendant check you out and fill out an accident report.
2. GET MORE MEDICAL ATTENTION IF NECESSARY.
3. If you have follow-up treatments, please advise your doctor of the following
a) Your insurance carrier
b) NASCAR insurance
c) NASCAR address:
