Payout Procedure Change

Attention all drivers:

Starting this weekend race payout checks will be available for pick up on Monday afternoons.  We will no longer be writing checks on Saturday nights.  Sorry for any inconvenience. If you have any questions, please call the Speedway office at 360-805-6100. Thank you!

First Responders Night at Evergreen Speedway This Saturday!

This Saturday, September 10th is First Responders Night at Evergreen Speedway.  All police, fire fighters, EMTs, paramedics, and active military with identification will get in FREE.  Gates open at 4pm with Racing starting at 6pm.  Also don’t forget about the First Responders race. Come cheer on your local departments as they go head to head on the track!  For more information contact the speedway at 360-805-6100

September 4th Demolition Derby

The 2011 Evergreen Speedway race season is rewriting the record books!

For immediate release:  The 2011 Evergreen Speedway race season is rewriting the record books!  This season over 10 NEW RECORDS have been recorded!!

The Newly refreshed 3/8 track saw records fall in both the NASCAR STREET STOCKS AND NASCAR MINI STOCKS.

For the Record: 5 times the records fell on Saturday July 30th.

3/8 NASCAR MINI STOCKS:    The 2006 record by Mark Weedin of 18.920  was eclipsed by the 2010 Rookie of the Year Molly Helmuth in the first qualifying session.  Mollys time was 18.814

In the next session former MINI STOCK CHAMPION Scott LaCross wasted no time in lowering the new record to 18.727.

Not to be outdone on the fast new surface Dale Creager laid claim to the new record, crossing the line in 18.718.

3/8  NASCAR STREET STOCKS:

The 2004 record by Travis Blackwood of 19.304 was broken twice.  2010 NASCAR STREET STOCK CHAMPION Lane Sundholm motored his way to a 18.946 in his qualifying session.

Not to be outdone—Doug Davidson shattered the previous record, crossing the line 18.734!

The 19 Legend racers on July 30th recorded two new track records!  First Duane Swanson recorded a 19.210, quickly being erased by a 19.081 from Randy Shaaf.

The previous fast times came in 1996 by Gordon Falkner in Legends-Pro ( 19.443 ).   Matt Barrett has owned the Legends-Semi since 2004 with a 19.395

On the 5/8 track, 3 records has fallen this season.

Kelly Mann set the tone for the May 28th BIG WEST OPEN & CRATE MOTOR RACE with a sizzling 22.570.   This compares to the 2004 Late Model Challenge 23.254 set by John Zaretzke.

The NASCAR SUPER LATE MODELS GM CRATE was lowered twice.  Mike Holden ran a 22.785, only to be replaced by Naima Lang’s 22.589. And Mike Holden now has the record with a 22.540

The Super Figure 8 records have fallen as well. NWOF8 record is now held by Don Eslick with a 16.618.

The Evergreen Speedway Super Figure 8 Record has fallen to its previous owner, Ricky Deitz improved his 16.882 to 16.380.

With the Super Late Models moving to the 3/8 track on August 13th, watch out for more records to fall!  This weekend’s Super Figure Eight Twin 50′s  will be gunning for the sub 17′s!

July 30th Schedule Update

Due to a number of our Super Late Models having mechanical difficulties, we may be moving one of the 50 lap main events to September 3rd on the 3/8s.  We want the fans to experience the best show at Evergreen Speedway.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

You won’t want to miss all the racing action we have tomorrow night. We will have Super Figure 8 Twin 25s, Super Late Model 50, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks, Legends, Hornets and the Mayor’s Cup race.  

Plus we will have a special show put on by Formula Drift driver Otto Graven. Otto will be on hand for an autograph session during the night.

Hornet Appreciation Night July 30th

Next Saturday, July 30th is Hornet Appreciation Night at Evergreen Speedway. All Hornet drivers will receive a FREE pit pass when they sign in at the back gate.  So if you have a Hornet be sure to bring it out on July 30th Foster Press Mayors Cup Night!

We will also be having a Mayors race and are looking for drivers who are willing to loan their Hornets out for that race.  If you loan your car for the Mayors Race you will receive a FREE pit pass the next time you race. 

Finally looking ahead we have theFaster Pastor race on August 6th that we need Hornets loaned for also. Please call the Speedway Office at 360-805-6100 if you are interested in loaning your Hornet or e-mail stefanie@evergreenspeedway.com

Lynwood Harley Davidson Night July 16th

This Saturday, July 16th is Judd & Black night presented by Lynwood Harley.  Anyone interested in participating in the pre-race Harley ride around the track must check in at the front ticket booth prior to 5pm. We will need all bikes on the track at 5pm sharp.  Please check in at the ticket booth to receive your wrist band and $10 grandstand ticket for wearing Harley Davidson gear.  We will be unable to allow anyone people on the track after 5pm; no exceptions.
