Saturday July 13 at Evergreen Speedway it is the annual Faith & Family Night presented by Spirit 105.3. The nights racing will feature the Speedway Chevrolet NASCAR Whelen All American Series Super Late Models, Les Schwab Tires NASCAR Street Stocks and Foster Press NASCAR Mini-Stocks all on the fast and competitive 3/8-mile paved oval. In addition the Interstate Batteries Hornets will be on the road course. The racing begins at 6pm with spectators gates opening at 4pm.

A great battle is underway for the 2013 Super Late Model track championship. Six time division champion Tom Moriarity has a 16-point edge over Daniel Moore. Both have one win this season. Only 14-points back of Moore is Doni Wanat who has a slim 2-point advantage over 15-year old Garrett Archer. Scheduled for 75-laps on the 3/8-mile this Saturday will be a pivotal race as the season enters the second half.

Also a great fight for the 2013 title is waging in the Street Stock division.  Current leader Roger Drake has a 10-point lead over Jason McQuinn. McQuinn is 9-points up on Darrel Lutovsky who enjoys a 15-point margin on Joe Kneeland and Steve Ptacek who are tied for the 4th position in the title chase. Of the five only Joe Kneeland has a NASCAR Street Stock championship. Kneeland won the 2011 title.

In the Mini-Stock division the points for the title are not as close with defending division champion Jon Roberts holding a 63-point lead. In second in points is 18-year old Devin Kessler with a 4-point edge on Travis Woodward.

Hornet division driver Cyril Greenawalt has the points lead by 14-points. Scott Hunt holds onto second position and is the leading candidate for Rookie of the Year in the division. 36-points back of Hunt is former champion Jaime Corbett. With a lot of races left in 2013 the mid season is always an important race.

In addition to the racing action Evergreen Speedway will be honoring two of our fallen supporters. Vern Foster and Mike Wilkinson will be honored via memorial laps.

Racing starts at 6pm with front gates opening at 4pm. For more information go to or call 3690-805-6100.
