Fantastic List of Drivers for the Galloway 150

The 30+-drivers that have committed to attend the Mark Galloway 150 Shootout presented by Central Welding Supply at Evergreen Speedway is remarkable. The best of the best are setting their sights on the $6000 to win with $600 for starting the 150-lap shootout on the BIG 5/8-mile oval on Saturday, May 25. Racing will commence at 6pm with spectator gates opening at 4pm. There is a Friday, May 24 evening practice for the Galloway 150 Shootout Super Late Models from 5pm until 9pm.

When race fans are asked, “Who are the greatest Northwest drivers of all time,” these drivers, that are entered for the Galloway 150 Shootout, are always included: Garrett Evans, Ron Eaton, Pete Harding and Gary Lewis.

When the  question is asked, “Who are the greatest to ever run a Super Late Model  at Evergreen Speedway,” these names are included: Tom Moriarity (6-Time Champion), Naima Lang (4-Time Champion), John Zaretzke (3-Time Champion) and John Bender (1-Time Champion).

Then when asked,” Who could win a Super Late Model race on the BIG Track at Evergreen Speedway,” these names come to mind: Jason Fraser, Kelly Mann, Shane Mitchell, Mark Sundberg, Daniel Moore,  Jeff Knight, Tyler Tanner, Rod Schultz Sr. and Rod Schultz Jr.

Throw in these up and coming drivers: Andy Sole, Doni Wanat, Garrett Archer, Molly Helmuth, Jessica Dana, Shane Sawin, Doug Davidson, Scott LaCross, John Boyatt, Alex Kerslake, Tommy Rasmussen, Frank Cowgill, Brian Cottrell, John Lathrop Jr., Michael Knutson and Jon Hubbert.

Add in few other drivers and the list is as formidable as it gets for the 150-lap Super Late Model feature on the BIG track, the 5/8-mile oval, the biggest in the Northwest.

In addition the Les Schwab Tires NASCAR Street Stocks, traveling Vintage Modifieds and Interstate Batteries Hornets on the 3/8-mile oval are a part of the first day of the Double Header Holiday Weekend at Evergreen Speedway May 25 & 26.

On Sunday the 26th it is the Sean Peters Memorial featuring a Truck Demolition Derby, Emerald City Harley-Davidson Super/Stock Figure Eights, Buzz Inn Steakhouse Stinger 8′s, V-8 Extremes and a Gigantic Holiday Fireworks Display with racing both days at 6pm.
